Missouri sets a minimum personal representative fee of 5% of the first $5,000, 4% of the next $20,000, 3% of the next $75,000, 2.75% of the next $300,000, 2.5% of the next $600,000 and 2% above $1 million. What the fee is based on
The value of the personal property administered and the proceeds of all real property sold under order of the probate court (Mo. Rev. Stat. § 473.153.1).

What can change the amount
- This is the floor. If reasonable pay for the work is higher, the court allows the higher amount (§ 473.153.1).
- Two or more personal representatives share reasonable pay of no more than twice the minimum or 5% of the base, whichever is less, with some exceptions (§ 473.153.2).
- The estate's attorney gets the same schedule as a minimum fee (§ 473.153.3).
